In 1994, after over three decades with IBM South Africa, Marlene started her consultancy and training company. In the last 14 years she has traveled throughout Southern Africa and the Middle East presenting programs for Managers, spoken at Secretaries conferences, presented on cruise liners and under trees in Soweto.
She is a Distinguished Toastmaster and over a period of 30 years has been President of 3 clubs.
Her current passion is coordinator for the Academy of Professional Speakers, and she is a founder member of the Professional Speakers Association.Marlene is the current president of the Johannesburg Chapter.
As a mother and grandmother she believes in the value of life long education and regularly attends conferences to understand and adapt training programs to fit future business models.
Marlene believes in the " Human desire to be productive" and constantly preaches the value of applying the empowerment process in enterprises .
She says" People already have power through their motivation and experience - my programs are the catalyst that unleashes this power"
She is a co-author of the book "Diamonds in the Dust".
